Medical Advisory Consultants
How do you bring together the best minds on rosacea into one medical advisory committee? It has been a long winding road but the end of the road looks hopeful for rosaceans. The MAC members are available for answering your rosacea research questions in the private forum available to corporate members, if you join us. They compose a group of medical advisory consultants. When the board of directors approve at least three or more of the medical advisory consultants into a committee the consultants become a 'medical advisory committee' or MAC. Independently each advisor is a consultant. Together any of the consultants can form a committee recognized and approved by the RRDi Board of Directors.
The purpose of the MAC is to find a cure for rosacea, to determine what research needs to be addressed, to recommend how the institute spends the funding on rosacea research, and to determine the general direction of the institute. The MAC will listen to recommendations of the corporate members of the RRDi, the majority of these corporate members will be rosaceans. What non profit organization for rosacea listens to the concerns of rosaceans on what research rosaceans want?
The MAC is large because all the professionals are volunteers. They all have very busy schedules and have agreed to volunteer when they have available time to do so to help the RRDi with rosacea research questions. If some on the MAC can't answer questions, having a large number on the MAC hopefully will offset those who are too busy to answer questions. The RRDi appreciates any amount of volunteer time these professionals can give.
