Abstract
We thank Wienholtz et al.1 for their comments on our article entitled 'Skin disease are more common than we think: screening results of an unreferred population at the Munich Oktoberfest'. Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin disease with a widely ranging prevalence in different countries (less than 1% to 22%), but even within Germany (2.3% to 12.3%).There might be several reasons for these different findings: examined study population, primary or secondary data source, or as mentioned by Wienholtz et al., a lacking research-based classification system.
