Economy Intense Pulsed Light System The IPL300 produces over 130 Jcm2/second energy density at 410-1200nm (broad based light) with a pulse duration of 0.09 seconds. Pulse frequency is user-adjustable from 1-4 emissions per second. This is a great entry level machine for the small salon or home user. It produces four times the recommended power for effective photoepliation procedures. This system is not recommended for tattoo removal or advanced dermatology procedures (spider vein treatments etc.) as those procedures require a minimum of 180jcm2/second of fluence for effectiveness. Please refer to the IPL600 or IPL800 if you wish to perform those procedures. The Economy Intense Pulsed Light is specifically designed to deliver highly concentrated photon energy directly through the skin, thereby targeting hair follicle melanocytes or photo-reactive dyes. Each power pulse has an effective treatment area of 2.0 cm2 and feels like a mild pinch. The IPL has a very comfortable and versatile hand piece. A powerful 15cfm positive displacement internal fan keeps the flash lamp cool during usage; thereby increasing the power, performance and overall life-expectancy of the system. Flash lamp is rated for 1,200,000 pulses (five times that of the SPL300 unit) which equates to roughly 1-2 years of average daily use for a salon. Other benefits over the SPL300 unit included: powder coated aluminum driver unit and digital temperature readout.
