An interesting new item about the Genome Database for Rosacea was reported in the Independent Mail, Anderson, South Carolina:

desmondlane.png

"Desmond Layne, associate professor of pomology and extension fruit specialist at Clemson University, was the co-principal investigator of the Genome Database for Rosacea that was partly funded by a $2 million U.S. Department of Agriculture specialty research initiative grant." [1]

I wonder if this is the flower, rosacea, or the disease? Probably the flower, since there has been very little if any government funding for rosacea.* If anyone can confirm what the money was spent on this would be most appreciated. Odds are it is the rosacea flower. Wish the RRDi could receive $2 million for rosacea research.
