The Ion Channel Theory and Rosacea involves a particular family of transient receptor potential cation channels (TRP channels), the transient receptor potential vanilloid-superfamily member 3 (TRPV3) channel, which has been "associated with various skin diseases, including Olmsted syndrome, atopic dermatitis, and rosacea."
