"Autosensitization dermatitis presents with the development of widespread dermatitis or dermatitis distant from a local inflammatory focus, a process referred to as autoeczematization." Wikipedia "The term autosensitization dermatitis was coined in 1921 by Whitfield to describe reaction patterns ranging from a generalized, erythematous, morbilliform, and urticarial eruption after blunt trauma to a generalized, petechial, papulovesicular dermatitis after the acute irritation of chronic stasis dermatitis."Chapter 17. Belsito A case in point is recorded in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology about a 46 year old woman who was initially diagnosed with rosacea and later diagnosed with Autosensitization dermatitis.
