I have been adding three ounces of tea tree oil to a ten ounce bottle of baby shampoo (removed three ounces of baby shampoo to allow for the three ounces of tea tree oil) and shake well before applying to my scalp and face/neck. I have no issues with the baby shampoo fragrance. This regimen I use twice each day (rinse the first application and reapply letting it soak for at least five minutes).

Neem oil has been mentioned some on the internet for rosacea, but hasn't been popular so there is not enough anecdotal reports on whether this is effective or not. For example, I found one Neem Oil product mentions using it for scabies, but not for demodex. What's the difference? One report on essential oils for demodex doesn't mention Neem oil but does say, "Essential oils derived from tea tree, sage and peppermint are an effective means against eyelash mites." Let us know how it works for you, please. Tea Tree oil has been mentioned quite a bit as effective for demodectic rosacea. Usually the ratio of Tea Tree Oil to the moisturizer is 50/50. Many report using Rose Hip Oil 50% with Tea Tree Oil 50%, shake well and apply. ElaineA has a post about Tea Tree Oil as well as her borax bath. I personally add three ounces of Tea Tree Oil into a ten ounce bottle of baby shampoo (remove three ounces of baby shampoo) and mix well and use on my scalp, hair, face and body as a cleanser and this has helped me. The ratio is 30% Tea Tree Oil to 70% baby shampoo. Terpinen-4-ol is apparently what is in the Tea Tree Oil that kills the mites.

We started a subscription based member forum on February 10, 2022 asking for a dollar a month donation to keep our non profit organization for rosacea patient advocacy going. We have had to change this to a minimum of $2/month since the PayPal fee is 51 cents which only leaves the RRDi with 49 cents (this makes PayPal doing better than the RRDi if we kept the one dollar a month subscription - if you only choose one month subscription it now costs $2 or you can choose the three month subscription for $3 which is only one dollar a month). You should try putting a 501 c 3 non profit rosacea patient advocacy grassroots organization together and see if you can get donations. It is like pulling teeth. Rosaceans simply don't want to unite together to do anything but rant in their favorite rosacea social media group for free and do absolutely nothing about uniting as a patient advocacy group to put pressure on medical research that rosaceans want to engage in. Try to get your rosacea social media group to unite on anything to do something that encourages rosacea research that rosaceans desire to be done. Well, this final appeal thread is a long one so keep scrolling below since there is more to learn. Why not join the discussion about the RRDi and whether you think it is a worthy endeavor and what insight you may have in keeping this non profit organization for rosacea patient advocacy going.
