There is a reply to this topic button somewhere on the device you are reading this post. If you never heard about this topic and you learned about it here first, wouldn't it be a gracious act on your part to show your appreciation for this topic by registering with just your email address and show your appreciation with a post?  And if registering is too much to ask, could you post your appreciation for this topic by finding the START NEW TOPIC button in our guest forum where you don't have to register?  We know how many have viewed this topic because our forum software shows the number of views. However, most rosaceans don't engage or show their appreciation for our website and the RRDi would simply ask that you show your appreciation, please, simply by a post.

  4. Wonder where all the passionate rosaceans are these days?  The Yahoo rosacea groups, including David Pascoe's 7000 plus Rosacea Support Yahoo group has little activity if any. Even his current R-S BB Group with 4000 plus members has very little activity. The Rosacea Forum vBulletin board only had about nine posts yesterday.

Obviously there must be some activity somewhere?  Probably Facebook and Twitter. Any thoughts?

  5. Rosacea Linked to Slightly Increased Risk for Alzheimer's Disease
By Jody Smith, EmpowHER,  June 3, 2016

    Daily MailHealth24Fox News

"Recently, an increased interest has been shown in the potential associations between neurodegenerative diseases and rosacea. For example, a nationwide cohort study from Denmark explored the relationship between rosacea and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease. MMPs are believed to be associated with the neurodegenerative diseases and an increased expression of MMP-1 and MMP-9 has also been observed in rosacea. In addition, another Danish study found that rosacea was significantly associated with dementia, especially Alzheimer disease. AMPs, MMP, and inflammatory cascades, which have a shared impact on both rosacea and Alzheimer disease, are considered to be involved in the underlying mechanism. Together, these findings suggest that a pathogenic link might therefore exist between rosacea and neurodegenerative diseases."

"Rosacea is significantly associated with dementia, particularly AD. Increased focus on symptoms of cognitive dysfunction in older patients with rosacea may be relevant."
