Allure has a tip to only use cool water for washing and rinsing. According to dermatologist Judith Hellman. "Hot water dilates the blood vessels and can result in flareups of rosacea and other conditions. Washing in general, but especially with hot water, removes the protective layer of lipids over the skin."

Galderma has something that works for rosacea. Annual market sales for the 12 months ending May 2017 was $87 million. [1]"In March 2017, Perrigo submitted an abbreviated new drug application, or ANDA, with a Paragraph IV certification for ivermectin cream, 1% to the FDA. In January 2018, this ANDA was tentatively approved by the FDA. Final approval from the FDA is subject to a 30-month stay under the Hatch-Waxman amendments to the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Ivermectin cream, 1% is the active molecule in Soolantra, which is currently marketed in the United States by Galderma Laboratories LP. There have been very few reports that Soolantra doesn't work, and way more reports that it works, but you may want to read what the side effects are reported to be. So this indicates a treatment for rosacea worth seriously considering to see if Soolantra works for your rosacea. It appears from the reports that it works for a significant number of rosaceans. One important note is that BEFORE your rosacea is controlled using Soolantra, there is ample evidence that it gets WORSE before it GETS BETTER and may take a couple of months of use to determine this! This 'worse before it gets better' syndrome may be the result of the killing of the mites.If you read the King of Soolantra threads then you will discover that there are reports that the Soolantra kills the mites and their dead bodies (with reports that contain a number of bacteria) cause a worsening of the rosacea symptoms before the rosacea gets better. Usually it takes two or more months before the demodectic rosacea is controlled by Soolantra. Your experience may be different since there are some who report that they do not get worse before it gets better and report success using Soolantra. The only way is to try it and find out yourself. You may be a candidate for Soolantra. Galderma would be pleased if you are a successful candidate. If you are please reply to this thread with your results.

Galderma states the following about the 'basis for the vehicle':
"Soolantra Cream combats inflammatory lesions of rosacea with a formulation designed for tolerability, utilizing Cetaphil® Moisturizing Cream as the basis for the vehicle."There's no doubt that the actual base cream in Soolantra is not Cetaphil Cream, but on the other hand, it's roughly equivalent to the extent that they use a polymer-plus-emulsion cream. We have recently upgraded our forum to version 4 which has a cool new look and features that are user friendly. Could any of the members like to give some reasons why no one is posting in our forum? It appears that Rosaceans are moving on to social media like Facebook, Reddit, Twitter or some other media to post and simply don't like the forum style posting anymore.
What do members need from the RRDi to post comments, questions or start a discussion in our member forum?
